My design centres on the connection between nature and communal living. The extension of the balconies of an apartment block, in which both young and older families live in, is characterised by its innovative design. The property extends to the edge of the forest, which was previously a few metres away. My concept creates a direct connection to nature by creating round platforms supported by tree-like wooden supports adorning the façade. This unique structure brings the forest boundary closer to the residents and creates an inspiring illusion: standing on the balcony, it feels as if you are in the treetops. The organic shape of the platforms and the natural texture of the wood create a harmonious unity with the surrounding landscape. The closer you get to the neighbouring residential unit, the more the louvres thicken. the neighbouring residential unit, privacy is also taken into account.
